Why "BOTTOM'S UP"?

The theory behind this latest innovation is simple. The bottle's filter was designed to remove and/or dramatically reduce a vast array of health-threatening contaminants from even the most questionable sources of water, including remote lakes and streams, stagnant ponds and foreign country water supplies where regulations may be sub-standard, at best.

However, oftentimes when simply filling the bottle, the removable, thus exposed, filter itself is subjected to varied, potentially hazardous foreign elements in the environment, in the process. Therefore, we removed the chance of outside contamination by sheltering the filter securely inside the top of the bottle .. away from all incidental contact. We designed the bottle to be filled from the bottom  by unscrewing the removable cap on the bottom of the bottle. Hence, "BOTTOM'S UP"!

The cap/cup is dual purpose. It protects the drinking spout/poppet from environmental contamination and provides a receptacle for the guaranteed healthier, safer, filtered water you just made yourself!

Care and Use:
BE SURE TO FLUSH NEW FILTER THROUGH WITH TWO BOTTLES OF WATER BEFORE INITIAL USE.

To Fill

1. Remove blue screw-off cap from the BOTTOM of the bottle.
2. Do not attempt to remove TOP cap. (with poppet)
3. Close poppet by pushing tightly down on bottle top.
4. Fill bottle with water through the bottom opening.
5. Screw cap onto bottom and tighten securely to eliminate leaks
6. Flush water through filter by pulling poppet up to open and squeeze water through filter & out poppet. Repeat this flushing process twice before drinking. This removes all excess carbon dust from the filter.
7. After 2 flushes, remove bottom cap. Rinse the bottle & cap. Refill bottle ready for use. Enjoy!

Maintenance and Storage
When the filter system will not be used for an extended period, flush the unit with a chlorinated solution of 1/4 tsp. per one half gallon of water. Allow to dry thoroughly with bottom cap removed. Re-assemble and stow.

What is the IONIC ADSORPTION MICRO FILTRATION SYSTEM?

This advanced technology was developed, refined, and proven through diligent, investigative research and testing performed by water purification specialists, researchers and engineers.

Removal of contaminants with carbon is a surface phenomenon known as adsorption, resulting from the molecular attraction of substances to the surface of the carbon, as the bottle is pressed and the source water is forced through the filter.

The rate of adsorption is determined by the quality and volume of carbon used. The flow rate or time of exposure through the filter has been calculated to yield the greatest volume removal of toxic chemicals caused by pollution of industry and agriculture.

This exclusive filter also incorporates proprietary absorbing medias that are impregnated into the micro-porous filter for the IONIC absorption of pollutants into the filter such as aluminum, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, zinc, and other dangerous heavy metals.

The "Torturous Path" structure of these pores gives it a unique characteristic that cannot be duplicated by any other porous material. This product offers the only portable filter produced using medical grade technology, offering 2 micron "absolute" pore size -- all pores are the same size. Other micron claims are usually "nominal", meaning the majority of the pores are as claimed, but the balance can range as large as 20. micron.
